02.12.2019 A Poem For My Friend

Writer's picture: Eddie SlaterEddie Slater

Just wrote this after seeing a post from a friend I used to work with, who's just lost her last parent and feeling lost.

Though they may, be gone from sight. It doesn't mean, they wont visit you at night.

Your memories don't fade, Nor do they vanish. They're always there, In Dutch French or Spanish.

Hold on to them Nice and firm and tight. But I promise you that, They are still in sight.

There is nothing left that you can fear So it's okay, to shed that tear.

With all best wishes and your closest around You'll find Inner strength. In a mass or a mound.

So stay strong (friends name), and cherish your thoughts They're yours forever Memories of all sorts.

They do not go, They are there forever For you to recall But always to treasure

Xxxxx
